KULLBERG COLORED PENCIL PORTRAIT WORKSHOP
Lexington, South Carolina - January 28-30, 2011 Portraits in Colored Pencil II: These 3 days are being offered to those whove previously taken a portrait workshop from me, so we can go beyond the basics. Take this opportunity to work on your own piece with very specific hands-on, step-by-step color and drawing guidance from me. You can work on a portrait, or on any subject matter. Class size strictly limited to 16. $255 Supply List As many colored pencils as you have - a minimum set would be a 72 set. Drafting brush (desk brush or large paint brush) One 8 x 10 sheet tracing paper or mylar film Your photo reference, enlarged to 8 x 10 or 11 x 14 A line drawing (in lightly applied graphite) of the photo reference on Stonehenge paper. The line drawing should be no smaller than 10 x 12 and no larger than 16 x 20 (If you prefer, you can bring a line drawing on mylar film and transfer the drawing onto Stonehenge in class.) Please choose a photo reference that is clear and not black & white, or blurry, or where the subject is difficult to see. We want a successful painting out of this workshop, and a successful painting starts with a great photo!
