SUPER WORKSHOP with ANN KULLBERG

5-Day super intense, super concentrated workshops
for just 3 students at a time in Ann's studio.
With only 3 students in class...the instruction and scrutiny will be intense. I may sit right next to you, or across from you, watching as you work. I don't think this will be intimidating, though! I will be doing this so I can watch everything about your technique, to help you improve. We will cover in class whatever it is you most need help with - whether that is hair, skin tones, vertical line, edges, values, backgrounds, or even drawing skills and marketing! The aim will be to crunch a few years of learning into one exhilerating week!
I will demo what needs to be demonstrated, and will watch and correct what needs correcting. If you have any concerns about your drawing skills, or would like to improve your art "eye" before class starts, we offer you our Draw what you SEE Drawing Course at a 55% discount off the normal price. Your price would be $35.99. I am NOT suggesting that you need to take this course! It just offers good practice for your drawing skills and your eye...but is absolutely not a requirement.
Class Details: You will bring 2 or 3 portraits to work on in class, along with your colored pencil, electric sharpener, and drafting brush. You won't be finishing these, but we will get to all of them at some point during the week. You'll email me images of the photo references before class, so we can make sure you're getting off to a great start right from the beginning.
Venue: My home studio, Federal Way, WA. My studio is a bit small, and definitely a humble space, but it will do. There will be one drafting table for use, and one 6' table. We can switch around using the drafting table so it's fair for everyone. I'll have coffee, teas and Diet Coke available throughout the day, as well as fresh fruit and light snacks. Federal Way is 25 minutes south of Sea-Tac Airport in Seattle. Cab fare to and from Federal Way is around $35. We have a dozen hotels within a 15 minute drive from my house, all of them listed on www.hotels.com Most have restaurants within walking distance. We will put you in contact with your fellow Super Workshop students so that transportation to and from the workshop is easy. No sense in having 3 rental cars!!
Schedule
This schedule allows folks to fly home on the final day, without having to spend another night in a hotel, or missing another day of work. 30 hours of instruction total 60 minute lunch break (We have many restaurant options 10 minutes from my home.) |
Location
My home studio in Federal Way, Washington. My home is within 10 minutes of a dozen hotels, all in various price ranges. We are 25 minutes south of Sea-Tac International Airport. On a clear day, Federal Way has a shockingly beautiful view of Mt. Rainier, and the Puget Sound is visible from many locations in Federal Way. |
Workshop Fee
$780 with a $130 deposit due with registration, non-refundable. Balance of $650 due 4 weeks prior. If you are unable to attend at the last minute, we will be happy to transfer fees to any workshop, Super Workshop or cruise workshop of your choice. We accept checks or credit card. |
